KYKKATIS, CHRYSOSTOM
KYKKATIS, CHRYSOSTOM, Archbishop of New Justiniana and All Cyprus (27 September 1927– ). Ordained to the diaconate in 1951, he received his Philosophy and Theology Diploma from the University of Athens in 1961, and on 21 October was ordained to the priesthood. He was consecrated Bishop of Constantia on 14 April 1968, elevated to Metropolitan of Paphos, and elected Archbishop of New Justiniana and All Cyprus on 13 November 1977. He succeeded Archbishop Makarios III (Mouskos), who served from 1950 to 1977.
