GONDIKAKIS, VASILEIOS

GONDIKAKIS, VASILEIOS, archimandrite, of Iviron (1936– ). Abbot of Stavronikita Monastery, Mt. Athos, he is a leader in the movement reviving monasticism on Athos (qq.v.) and author of Hymn of Entry: Liturgy and Life in the Orthodox Church (trans. 1984).
