DUAL-FAITH
DUAL-FAITH. In Russian dvoyoveriya, the term “dual-faith” or “two beliefs,” is familiar due to its use in describing the popular religion of old Kievan Rus’ (q.v.) after the baptism of Prince Vladimir, when Christianity and paganism existed side by side-and joined together-among the common folk. It has been used subsequently to describe syncretism between any two faiths.
