святóе святы́х библ. (в Иерусалимском храме место, где хранился ковчег Завета) the Holy of Holies, the Holiest of all, the most holy place ◊ «За второю же завесою была скиния, называемая «святое святых«» [»Святое Святых"]. (Евр.9:3) «And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all» или «And behind the second veil, there was a tabernacle which is called the Holy of Holies»; «... и будет завеса отделять вам святилище от Святого-святых. И положи крышку на ковчег откровения во Святом-святых» (Исход 26:33–34) «And the veil shall divide unto you between the holy place and the most holy.
